Advocacy

This work is aimed at engaging the media, the public, practitioners and policy makers by creating opportunities for them to listen to voices often unheard.

• Excluded Youth Project: What’s Your Story?: Nationwide consultation with over 600 excluded young people about their experiences of youth justice which culminated in an event with senior policy makers in Parliament.

• Home Affairs Select Committee: 7 young offenders gave evidence to the committee as part of their inquiry into the government’s approach to crime prevention.

• Cabinet Office Roundtable: 10 school children with experience of the criminal justice system attended a roundtable discussion with politicians and senior civil servants.
