Bess started at User Voice after leaving university where she studied International Development. She initially joined the team as a Research Assistant Volunteer before moving into her current role as Projects and Research Coordinator.. User Voice really spoke to her passion for using lived experience research to drive change and piqued her interest in the justice system, which she studied in a module on penology.
Bess is a strong advocate for intersectional equality driven by lived experience research as who knows problems being faced than those experiencing it themselves.
In her spare time, she enjoys all things creative, making art and taking photographs and going to galleries, talking about politics, live music and ballet classes.
