I  currently facilitate the HMP Northumberland Prison Council and formally the prison council at HMP Lowdham Grange.

I have a background working in mental health teams as an Assistant Practitioner and hold a Fda in Health and Social Care.

I came to User Voice as I believe that positive change, rehabilitation and recovery are all possible having personal Lived Experience of becoming an “ex-offender” through navigating the criminal justice system having lived experience of prison and probation and drug addiction which I now use to help inspire others towards making positive choices, changes whilst working with people to help improve the prisons for both prisoners and staff alongside.

I have previously been a member of the User Voice National Council and have been working for User Voice since January 2024.

I am a proud Lancastrian and an “Honnary Geordie” I support Bury Fc and follow Newcastle Fc.

In my spare time I enjoy walking in the Northumberland area, fishing, going to the beach and spending time with my girlfriend.
