PEER COMMISSIONER VOLUNTEER - WEST YORKSHIRE
- Location: West Yorkshire
- Voluntary, expenses paid if applicable
- Commitment: 4-5 months, one day a week (on average) minimum
User Voice is looking to recruit people with lived experience to become Peer Commissioners in a project focused on embedding a new restorative justice service across West Yorkshire.
Peer commissioners will co-design and co-facilitate a Market Engagement Event with the Police and Crime office. Once the bids are submitted the Peer Commissioners will review the bids and have the opportunity to interview successful bidders as part of the review process.
This pilot project, which has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office in West Yorkshire, could potentially change the way that services are commissioned in the community, ensuring lived experience is at the heart of the process.
As part of the role, you will receive accredited training in Peer Commissioning. You will also have the opportunity to work with our National Council, as well as several national consultations that we are running currently.
