We are excited to share our forward direction for the next three years. Working in genuine collaboration with people with convictions, service providers, charities, commissioners and policy makers to create a justice system that truly serves everyone.
At User Voice, we seek a society where empowerment and inclusion are its cornerstones. A society where rehabilitation is seen to be as equally important as punishment, with a focus on healing for both victims and people with convictions.
A society where people who utilise services are genuinely engaged and their views and needs represented in decision making, so the system runs better and delivers better outcomes.
We want a society where prisons are reimagined as places where individuals serve their sentences while engaging in meaningful work and training while the drivers of crime like mental health issues and addiction are successfully addressed. A society where people serving sentences in the community are supported so they can move forward and contribute positively to their neighbourhoods.
Together, we will change minds, transform lives and build a just society where everyone’s potential is recognised and valued.
