Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience (plus London Weighting Allowance, if applicable)

The role is based in HMP Bronzefield (female prison). To be considered for this role, you must have spent time in prison as a prisoner, and you must be a minimum of 12 months free from license. Please note that there are certain types of offences that will restrict an applicant’s suitability for this role. If you are on community order, you must be within 3 months of the end of your order.

Job description

User Voice’s Lived Experience Consultants are responsible for engaging with a diverse range of service users on a variety of consultations in prison and the wider community.

Key responsibilities:

Engaging with people in prison and on probation
Liaising with research partners, prisoners, probation, and other stakeholders to access service users
Contributing to project planning and project managing service user engagement activities
Conducting interviews, surveys, and focus groups
Collecting and entering service user insight
Supporting the analysis, reporting and sharing of service user insights
Recruiting, training, and supporting service users to be involved throughout our projects
Supporting the delivery of other User Voice councils and projects as needed

*All posts are subject to a 6-month probationary period and an Enhanced DBS check. We are looking for people with lived experience, so be prepared to give a full and honest disclosure, we won’t hold it against you, in fact, the bigger your journey, the more employable you are!

WHAT's on offer

Full induction and training into the role
Permanent contract.
Between £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience.
25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time)
