“I struggle working in groups because I'm so independent. That is something I have got to overcome so working in User Voice definitely helps with that because you have to work in groups. I am glad that it challenges that, I can’t say that I’ve got to grips with it fully yet, but it is challenging.”

“It’s a shocking thing, for me it’s actually shocking to be able to walk past, I’m an offender myself but I walk past the rest of the offenders, get into the back office and make myself a cup of tea and when I’m in there…and I look and think this would never be possible for me a few years ago. It’s a wicked experience to be honest.”

Peer Commissioner - West Midlands

User Voice and NHSE are looking for people with lived experience to play a powerful role in the re-commissioning of Liaison & Diversion (L&D), Mental Health Treatment Requirements (MHTR) and Reconnect services.

This role is vital in ensuring that the voice of service users in heard in the commissioning of the services that they use.
