The Bridge Hub Volunteer - London

User Voice is a charity led and delivered by people with lived experience of the criminal justice system. We bring together people impacted by the system with those who deliver its services, to co create transformative change, both in justice services and in people’s lives.

The Bridge Hub is a unique new resource launching soon in Vauxhall, for people leaving prison and on probation in London to give back to their communities through a range of community volunteering opportunities.

the Role

We are looking for people leaving prison or on probation to co run The Bridge Hub alongside us. By volunteering to co run the Hub you will be part of a brand-new resource where many other people with convictions will really benefit!

In this role, you will support people leaving prison or on probation to match them with volunteering opportunities, build relationships with London-wide organisations to promote the Hub, get more volunteers involved and help with the day-to-day running of the hub.

Volunteers will also have opportunities to contribute to wider User Voice projects that improve the experiences of people in the justice system through activities like focus groups and research, consultations and playing a role in deciding what services we work with.

WHAT YOU’LL GAIN

As part of co running the Hub you will get:

  • Comprehensive training to up skill yourself, including confidence building, leadership skills, mentoring and IT.
  • Paid for travel and lunch.
  • Really valuable experience as a Hub leader that you can use to help with your journey out of the justice system.
