Join our East Midlands Lived Experience Panel and use your story to shape real change across health and justice services. As a volunteer, you’ll build confidence, develop new skills, and help make services fairer, safer and more effective for people facing the same challenges you once did.
User Voice gives a voice to people in the criminal justice system. We were created by and are run by people who have been in prison and on probation. Supported by User Voice and NHS England, the Lived Experience Panel works collaboratively with commissioners and stakeholders to help tackle issues and develop meaningful solutions.
The panel is exclusively made up of people with lived experience of the criminal justice system. Therefore only those with lived experience will be considered for the role.

Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) checks
This post is subject to a standard criminal record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The purpose of the check is to ensure that the nature of the applicant’s criminal record, considered alongside evidence of the their rehabilitation, does not indicate that their employment in this role would put others at risk.
Interview
Interviews will be held on an ongoing basis. User Voice reserves the right to hire before the application deadline therefore candidates are recommended to apply as soon as possible.
